Discipleship Ministry News

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.  John 13: 34 – 35
A Passion For Lost Souls.
If we would win men and women we must love them and have a burning desire within our hearts to see them come to a saving knowledge of Christ.  All new converts, to some degree, have a passion for lost souls.  If congregations do not pour cold water on that passion.  Passion was true of Andrew, for , “he first found his brother Simon and brought him to Jesus.”  If a new convert is encouraged and cultivated in their passion it will remain and grow, but many are not taught discipleship and soul winning and soon become indifferent to the value of winning Lost Souls.  They soon leave it for others to do.  It is so sad that  many churches do not make discipleship training a priority in the churches.  They will use up their time with many other projects and ignore discipleship training or put it very low on their priorities, even put it off for months or years, letting some of those interested to grow cold in their desire to proclaim what Jesus commands us to do.  Yet as Christian if we obey the New Commandment that we love one another as Jesus loved us, how can we not have this passion to proclaim the Gospel to the lost?  God said if you love me you will keep my commandments, yet many only obey the ones they are comfortable with and bear very little or no fruit.  In fact asking some Christians; “Who did you witness to this week, this month, this year, will cause some of them to avoid you, it makes them feel uncomfortable, even feel guilty.  May God have mercy on our pathetic souls.  Oh Blessed Father, Wake Us Up To Your New Commandant.
When a seed dies, it can bring forth much more fruit, if it falls on good fertile soil and puts down deep strong roots.  When we die to self, follow God’s commands, not just the ones that make us comfortable, but all of them, we can put down strong roots and all the forces of Hell will not pull them up.  If we abide in Christ and he abides in us, we will bare forth much fruit.  This is what becoming a disciple of Jesus is all about, it is not for the faint of heart, but those who have a deep passion to learn from the Great Teacher and do his will.  Become his disciples with a passion.
What if we brought another Billy Graham, Dwight L. Moody, Billy Sunday, George Whitfield, Smith Wigglesworth, (evangelist faith healer) to Jesus, think of the thousands of souls that could be saved?
Would that not be worth giving our life to the ministry of saving Lost Souls?  Let no one discourage you or hold you back.  If God is for us who can be against us?  Yet some do  try. to be against us.  Some churches are so afraid of making their flock uncomfortable they will do almost anything to keep out discipleship and evangelist training, not bearing much fruit or no fruit does not seem to phase them.  It is a comfy  thing.  Yet Jesus had some strong words about this; “Not all those who say Lord, Lord, will enter the Kingdom of God, but those that do my Father’s will.”  Is this so hard to understand or perhaps they do not want to understand, they have ears bur refuse to hear.
The comfortable western churches are put to shame by those in severely persecuted countries who proclaim the gospel in hidden home churches with everyday knowledge they may be put into prison, tortured, even killed for their passion for Lost Souls.  To them persecution is divine and expected, they want to be like Jesus and his disciples.  Does this make many western Christians feel uncomfortable, even guilty about not witnessing house to house or on the streets of their relatively safe towns, it dose not seem so?  “We love you Jesus, we will sing praises to your name, but do not ask us, do not expect us to follow all your commandments and do your will, it makes us uncomfortable.”  “We will pay our pastors high salaries to do it for us.”  But guess what, most of those high salary pastors are not doing it either except behind a pulpit sometimes, but seldom do they give an alter call, seldom ending their comfortable sermons with the cross of Jesus or proclaim the commandments of God.
Pray for the western churches and pastors, their elders as well, that they will come under conviction for Lost Souls and not just talk the talk, but walk the walk.  Psalms 23.
We are regrouping, digging in so to speak, standing firm on our conviction to do our Heavenly Father’s will.  Thank each of you for remaining faithful and wishing to put our King first in your life.
Soldiers marching as to war, bearing the cross of Jesus, going on before,  onward and upward.
