This is absolutely tragic. Clearly the assassin doesn’t fear God or believe in judgement after we die to murder people- heartless, wicked and definitely not obeying the overarching biblical commandment – “you shall love your neighbor as yourself “- Galatians 5.14.
I am praying ๐ for the families of those slaughtered, and for Christians in Christchurch that God will give them boldness to share the true Gospelโจ and the hope of Christ in word and deed ๐ with Muslims at this sad time in our country of New Zealand ๐ณ๐ฟ.
“Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted”- Lord Jesus Christ
” I am the way and the truth and the life: no one comes to the Father except through me” Jesus of Nazareth
” my Lord and my God!” -disciple of Jesus named Thomas
People often wonder why we see abuse of Christians and other religious minorities in countries such as Iran Pakistan and Egypt. The reason for this abuse is found in the Quran. Quran 9.29. The Quran commands Muslims, when they are in the majority, to violently subjecate people of other religions, especially Jews and Christians. On the other hand, the Biblical Gospels command Christian’s to love their neighbours as themselves, Jesus said “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, do good to those who hate you, so you may be sons of your father in Heaven who sends rain on the just and the unjust.”
My question would be, if people are upset that Muslims in general are treated unfairly in New Zealand, please consider all the millions of Christians in Muslim countries who executed because of their faith.
For example Coptic Christians beheaded in Libya – found on Google.
I do not in any way condone or tolerate what happened in Christchurch city this afternoon. My heart is heavy for the families of the 30 deceased. I love them, and the Gospels command me to love both my neighbours and my enemies and my persecutors.
Jesus died for sinners like you and I to make us right with the Father . Read Matthew 27.
I hope they give their shooter the death penalty quickly. “Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil.”
